PORTLAND, Ore. —  ODOT opened I-84 EB after Noon Wednesday after a 15-hour closure.  Strong winds and rain knocked down more than 20 trees along the freeway.

Wind Causes Problems For Portland Fire Crews

PORTLAND, Ore. — Crews battled the wind and flames to put out two house fires early Wednesday.

The first fire was in the basement of a house at Southeast 30th and Grant.  Cluttered conditions made it challenging for crews.  The residents were able to get out okay.  Cause has not been determined.

Winds Knock Down Trees And Damage Property

PORTLAND — Tree trimmers are staying busy after strong winds throughout the metro area on Tuesday caused trees to fall onto power lines, cars and whatever was in their path.

Next Round of Weather Causes Flooding Problems

PORTLAND — Downpours and wind gusts up to 45 mph hit the Portland area Tuesday afternoon as another round of weather moved in, causing flooding and other problems.
