Salem Pastor Jailed In Utah

Police in South Salt Lake City say they arrested a Salem pastor Wednesday.

Leonel Rocha-Pereda is accused of sexually abusing a girl while he was in Utah to start a new church.

Rocha-Pereda, 66, allegedly exchanged sexual pictures and texts with the girl.

Police have not released the name of the girl, or the church.  The Salt Lake Tribune reports …

Teen Says She Was Raped In North Portland

PORTLAND — Police are investigating the report that a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a stranger on Sunday night in the Portsmouth neighborhood.

The victim says it happened just before 10pm near North Adriatic Avenue and Esperanza Street.  Officers identified a possible crime scene, but did not find the suspect.  

Investigators are looking for a black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
