I-84 EB Back-open in The Gorge After Short but Powerful Storm

PORTLAND, Ore. —  ODOT opened I-84 EB after Noon Wednesday after a 15-hour closure.  Strong winds and rain knocked down more than 20 trees along the freeway.

Don Hamilton says it looked like Cottonwood trees had been hit by lightning.  They noticed road signs weighing hundreds of pounds left dangling and broken.  Crews used heavy equipment to …

Next Round of Weather Causes Flooding Problems

PORTLAND — Downpours and wind gusts up to 45 mph hit the Portland area Tuesday afternoon as another round of weather moved in, causing flooding and other problems.
