Shed Fire Destroys Families Belongings

A families shed went up in flames this evening in Northeast Portland. Firefighters arrived to find the large medal shelf fully engulfed on Southeast 111th and Inslee.  Battalion Chief Chris Babcock with Portland Fire talked with the owners.

“One of the owners relatives had just moved their furniture and possessions in while they were transferring from one house to another.”

Montana Fugitive Caught in Portland

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) – A man who escaped from Montana police while being questioned about a reported sexual assault has been caught in Oregon.

The U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force announced that Kevin Anthony Briggs was arrested in Portland on Friday night.

Portland On “Short List” For Google Fiber

PORTLAND – Portland and 5 other area cities have been named by Google as places that may get access to the company’s ultra-high speed Google Fiber broadband network.

Portland, Lake Oswego, Tigard, Hillsboro, Beaverton and Gresham are among 34 other cities nationwide that made the “short list” announced by Google on Wednesday.

Fire Tears Through SE Portland Auto Parts Store

PORTLAND — A late Monday night fire sent residents living above Mike’s Auto Parts at Southeast 52nd and Woodstock running for safety when it went up in flames, causing significant damage.
