Alaska Airlines filed today for permission to begin non-stop seasonal flights between Portland and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico starting in November.  Alaska also filed for non-stops from PDX to Los Cabos, starting in November.

The airline says it could take up to one month for the U.S. Department of Transportation to approve the new service.   It’s been five-years since Portland had non-stops …

Portland’s Love For Beer Means More Jobs

Yard House, a national restaurant chain, plans to open May 29th in Portland’s Pioneer Place. Operations Manager Ryan Rossi says they’ll feature 130 beers on tap, many from Oregon.

Rossi says Yard House has openings for 200 new positions, including servers, hostesses and line cooks.   Applicants should apply online.

Bike Mural Might Have Come Down Anyway

Todd Roll doesn’t seem too upset that the City of Portland has told him the 45-foot tall mural on the side of his business, Pedal Bike Tours, has to come down.

Blazer Fan and Cancer Survivor’s Message Heard Loud and Clear

22-year-old Haley Bellows is officially in remission. Her 11th day of being cancer free came Sunday at the Portland Trailblazer’s playoff game against the Houston Rockets.
