PORTLAND, Ore. — Squatters are blamed for starting a house fire in North Portland early Tuesday morning.

The house at North Interstate and Willamette has been empty for 20 years and has no electricity or plumbing.  It’s believed that transients broke in and started living there.

Portland Woman’s Bras Found Under Neighbor’s Mattress

PORTLAND, Ore. — A North Portland man is facing burglary charges for allegedly stealing three bras from his neighbor who lives across the street.

The Oregonian says the woman told police she found Angel Bedolla-Nievez standing in her garage late last month and later noticed several of her bras were missing.

Portland, Ore. — Portland Fire & Rescue crews stayed busy early this morning fighting several suspicious fires in North Portland’s Portsmouth neighborhood. Teen Says She Was Raped In North Portland

PORTLAND — Police are investigating the report that a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a stranger on Sunday night in the Portsmouth neighborhood.

The victim says it happened just before 10pm near North Adriatic Avenue and Esperanza Street.  Officers identified a possible crime scene, but did not find the suspect.  

Investigators are looking for a black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Kwanzaa Underway, Celebration in North Portland Saturday
