Portland, Ore. — Portland Fire & Rescue crews stayed busy early this morning fighting several suspicious fires in North Portland’s Portsmouth neighborhood. A total of six fires were set damaging two homes and a few vehicles. PORTLAND — Police are investigating the report that a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a stranger on Sunday night in the Portsmouth neighborhood.
The victim says it happened just before 10pm near North Adriatic Avenue and Esperanza Street. Officers identified a possible crime scene, but did not find the suspect.
Investigators are looking for a black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

About 100 people are expected at the New Columbia Community Education Center Saturday to participate in traditions celebrating the 3rd day of Kwanzaa. Police have arrested the man who repeatedly punched a TriMet bus driver. The driver was beat up by a passenger who didn’t pay the correct fare.
This happened in the St. John’s neighborhood last night. Trimet was able to capture an image of the suspect and police used that to locate 39-year-old Daemon Bowman. He is charged with …
