The Rains are Coming, and Landslides Could Soon Follow

A flood watch has been called for Thursday evening through Saturday afternoon for parts of southwest Oregon.  And, that means we could have ripe conditions for landslides.

Landslide Victims Get Help From Vancouver Restaurants

Ten downtown Vancouver restaurants are joining today to help the Red Cross assist victims of the Oso, Washington landslide in putting their lives back together.

The manager of Rosemary Cafe, Larry Peterson, says restaurants are donating a portion of this evening’s sales to the cause.

I-84 Eastbound Re-Opens Following Landslide

HOOD RIVER — Several large boulders crashed down onto Interstate 84 eastbound approaching Hood River on Wednesday night, burying a car in the debris.  The freeway was closed for several days so crews could clean-up several thousand cubic yards of rocks and debris that fell from a hill on the south side of the freeway.
