On the morning of June 10th, a student with a gun came to school and murdered another student, injured a teacher and took his own life.

Wednesday the school held an open house to unveil a remodeling project.  They added new lighting, paneling, flooring and the media wall you see above.

Pink Martini Percussionist Derek Rieth Kills Himself

Pink Martini’s percussionist is dead.  The Oregon State Medical Examiner says 43-year-old Derek Jordan Rieth shot himself in the head with a shotgun on Wednesday August 20th just after 8:00 p.m. Portland Police officers conducted a welfare check on Rieth and found him deceased in his home.  A shotgun was there and was seized as evidence. Providence Says First Oregonian to Receive an S-ICD Doing Great

27-year-old Nathan Strutt is doing fine after receiving a subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator or S-ICD.  He is the first person ever in Oregon to get one.  Since then more than 20 patients have received theirs.

The S-ICD is a less intrusive, and upgraded defibrillator that is a much better alternative to a regular defibrillator for some people.  The FDA gave it’s approval to …

Car Smashes into Jim Fisher Volvo in Downtown Portland

Just before 8:30 Tuesday evening, a car swerved into the Jim Fisher Volvo car dealership on West Burnside at SW 21st Avenue.

KXL’s Jeremy Scott was near the site shortly after the accident and says a witness helped pull the driver out of the car.
