Portland, Ore. — Portland Fire & Rescue crews stayed busy early this morning fighting several suspicious fires in North Portland’s Portsmouth neighborhood. A total of six fires were set damaging two homes and a few vehicles. BEAVERTON, Ore — Fire heavily damaged a portable classroom behind Highland Park Middle School on Tuesday morning.
The fire did not spread to the main building. Crews with Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue had to work around a number of downed power lines.
Investigators are trying to determine how the fire started. Classes went on as scheduled.

EUGENE, Ore. — Authorities say a body has been found at a house fire that a police spokeswoman calls “suspicious.”
The fire was in the city’s Fairmount neighborhood and was reported after midnight.
The police said Wednesday morning the body was found as firefighters extinguished the blaze.

A families shed went up in flames this evening in Northeast Portland. Firefighters arrived to find the large medal shelf fully engulfed on Southeast 111th and Inslee. Battalion Chief Chris Babcock with Portland Fire talked with the owners.
