Deadly Mobile Home Fire in Scappoose

SCAPPOOSE, Ore. — A man shot and killed himself and set his mobile home on fire early Tuesday morning.

The 71-year-old wouldn’t come out and was later found dead inside his trailer at the Rudd Court Trailer Park off Columbia Avenue just after 2:00.

CENTRAL WASHINGTON – Authorities in Central Washington are asking residents in nearly 900 homes to evacuate, as the Chiwaukem Creek Fire continues to grow.
