Watermelon Margurita

Hot summer days call for chillin’ out. Here’s a delicious way to drink your watermelon! It’s the delightful Watermelon Margurita.

Ingredients: 1.5 oz. silver tequila, 1 cup crused ice, 6 large slices of frozen and seeded watermelon, 1/.2 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice.

Preparation: Put all ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a margurita glass

My buddy Kim Wallis sent me this recipe. Spicy and tart combined for a refreshing summertime libation.

Pickpocket Soda (from Imbibe Magazine)

Pickpocket Soda

Fresh berries and a splash of balsamic flavor this summery spritzer.

1 1/2 oz. Pickpocket soda syrup
4-5 oz. soda water
Glass: highball
Garnish: mint sprig

Combine ingredients into an ice-filled glass, stir and garnish.

Pickpocket Syrup
2 lbs. fresh berries, puréed
2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups water
Zest and juice of one lemon
2 1/2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar

Tequila-Sage Smash

Unlike most drinks that rely on very precise measurements, “a smash lets you feel your way around the drink,” The amount of honey syrup you use will depend on the size and acidity of the lemons.
