Elderly Man Dies In NE Portland House Fire

PORTLAND, Ore. — A fire early Thursday morning took the life of an 86-year-old man and sent his son to the hospital with minor injuries.

It started around 1:00 at Northeast 69th and Pacific.  The son told crews that his father was still inside the burning home.  They went inside and found him dead.

Deadly Eugene House Fire Considered Suspicious

EUGENE, Ore. — Authorities say a body has been found at a house fire that a police spokeswoman calls “suspicious.”

The fire was in the city’s Fairmount neighborhood and was reported after midnight.

The police said Wednesday morning the body was found as firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Police Find Vehicle In Deadly Vancouver Hit & Run

VANCOUVER — Police have tracked down the vehicle that they believe was involved in the hit and run crash that killed two mothers on Sunday night.  The victims were in a crosswalk at Northeast 72nd and Vancouver Mall Drive when they were hit by a pick-up truck.
