Stacked kennels at Willamette Valley Animal Rescue
The Marion County Sheriff's Department says they found anywhere from 140 to over 170 dogs living in deplorable conditions Sunday while executing a warrant at the Willamette Valley Animal Rescue in Brooks.

The President, 24-year-old Alicia Marie Inglish was arrested on the spot Sunday while bring a car-load of even more dogs in.

Sheriff Spokesman Don Thompson says they found the dogs in various states of neglect.  He says one had a broken leg and most were mangy, skinny and in overall bad shape.  He says they found very little food on the premises.  Most of the dogs were stacked in small crates together.

The dogs were sent to various agencies, most to the Oregon Humane Society.  Thompson says right now they are all evidence, but says soon the ones who are healthy enough will be available for adoption.
