New Year's morning was one of the busiest ever for Portland Police.  A few folks decided to ring in 2013 with violence.  Two stabbings and a shooting had police racing to all sides of the city.

A man was stabbed by somebody who took a game of beer pong way too seriously at a house party near Northeast 82nd and Fremont.  The victim didn't realize that he'd been stabbed for a while, possibly because he was intoxicated.  Friends drove him to the hospital.

A man got physical with his girlfriend and her friends stepped in.  Both of them stabbed the man at a home near Southeast 74th and Ramona.  31-year-old Robert Thomas was arrested for assault and harassment as he was released from the hospital.

In another case of not realizing they'd been shot, a Southeast Portland woman walking her dog heard a noise and felt a sting in her leg, but didn't realize what happened.  She went back home on Southeast 142nd near Division and saw the blood an hour later.
