With the way Oregon and Kansas State ruined their chances to play for a BCS National Championship, and the way Alabama backed its way back into the title game, we knew it was just a matter of time before a certain southern gentleman joined us to take his shot at the Ducks and the Pac-12. SEC Guy joined Chad on Flight 750 Wednesday to talk about the upcoming game and to let us know which conference reigns supreme in college football.
SEC Guy began by talking about the matchup with Notre Dame in the title game. He insists that his love for the Lord is stronger than anything the Irish can put forth and that should help his team come out victorious once again on January 7th.
“I think what you get down to is basically, they love the Lord, but…I don’t want to say they love him less…They just don’t love him the right way.”
He also spoke about the Irish’s inappropriate statue, Touchdown Jesus.
“Why do you have this Touchdown Jesus? That don’t make no sense. Put Jesus in the CHOICH and keep him out of the football field. The football field is for coaches. You’re supposed to have statues of coaches out there.”
Although he was pretty well behaved throughout the whole interview, he couldn’t help but take a shot at Oregon with one closing zinger.
“Why aren’t yall playing in the Rose Bowl? I thought yall won the championship or the Pac-10 or whatever…
And when Chad explained that Oregon got beat by Stanford and not only did not win the conference this year, but didn’t even play in the Championship game, his response was typical SEC Guy.
“Good Lord. Yall got beat by trees twice. Oh well. Too bad, so sad, goodbye.”
We’re just going to leave it at that for now, but be sure to listen to the interview and look out for more SEC Guy calls in the coming weeks. I have a feeling we haven’t heard the last of him.
