Wetzel: Fiesta Bowl Poised to Be Amazing

College football writer for Yahoo Sports Dan Wetzel joins the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about the college football post-season. With the conference championship games complete, the bowl matchups are finally falling into place. Dan and John discuss the last throes of an antiquated bowl system, which will finally be put out of its misery next season.  They agree that while the various bowl games are fun to watch, they have prevented the implementation of a playoff system.

John begins the interview by asking Dan who would receive his vote for the Heisman Trophy. Dan reveals that he does not vote for the Heisman as he finds the award inconsequential. Dan then talks about why the top four teams in the SEC would beat Notre Dame. Even though Dan believes that the Irish’s defense is better than people give them credit for, the offenses of the SEC would overwhelm the Golden Domers. Dan also breaks down the potential Fiesta Bowl game between the Oregon Ducks and the Kansas State Wildcats. He explains why both teams share a common offensive style that will lead to a high-scoring game in Arizona.
