Rain Finally Hits

Portland rain
The rains finally came Friday. It's been a while since we've had any kind of liquid sunshine around Portland. In fact, we didn't see any rain for 81 of 82 days.
That all changed Friday as steady rain came down and it wreaked havoc on the Friday afternoon and evening commute. Multiple wrecks coupled with fresh wet roads made for a slow go on the freeways. TriMet MAX trains were also delayed.
KGW Chief Meteorologist Matt Zaffino says about 2" of rain is falling by Monday.
The rain was enough for the Portland Fire Department to end the total burn ban.
