Bear Sightings in Camas
A number of bear sightings at Lacamas Park in the last ten days have prompted two cross country meets to change locations. The most recent sighting was Tuesday just as the Camas High cross country team started racing. Craig Bartlett with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife says homeowners in the area might want to put their trash cans in the garage for the next few weeks. He also recommends cleaning seeds out of bird feeders and leaving them empty for awhile. The agency has a bear trap and is working with Camas police to catch it.
