Another Slowdown At Terminal Six
Another work slowdown at the Port of Portland. The company that runs the container terminal says production on the night shift Saturday was one-third less than the day shift. The Oregonian reports the Longshore union did not respond to its request for comment. A federal judge will hold a hearing next month on whether to find the union in contempt of court for allegedly violating an order to stop the slowdowns. The union confirmed members walked out at Terminal Six Friday forcing a shut down after their president was found guilty of blocking a train in Longview last year.
