You’re going to hear it a thousand times this week if you’re paying attention to the news…violence in Libya inspired by a low budget American movie.  And I’ve even heard a fox news radio report that raised the question of why when this movie is so offensive to so many Muslims that no one has been charged with a crime?

This echoes the ridiculous statement by President Obama yesterday that our government rejects speech that denigrates anyone’s religion. The government is out of line to criticize or try to chill ANY speech in this country. Its’ forbidden by the first amendment.  And it echoes the promise by our embassy in Egypt to condem speech that hurts the religious feelings of Muslims.

That’s buying right into Sharia law which many muslims would like to see here in America…the kind of law that put one talk show host on trial on Canada for his critical comments about Islam.  And we’re foolish to buy into the “the movie made me do it” argument in defense of violence.

We know where its coming from…Radical, militant Islam.  Not every Muslim is a terrorist or a terrorist supporter…but the majority of the acts of terror over the past half century have been committed by Muslims in the name of their religion.
