Lars got his start in radio at age 16 spinning records (remember 45s?) and reading news, sports and weather (twice an hour) on KTIL (The Mighty 1590) from a little cinderblock building on the edge of a cow pasture in Tillamook, Oregon (75 miles West of Portland, Oregon).
36 years later, he’s only moved 75 miles east to Portland and light years to “the Right”. Emmy and Peabody award winner Lars Larson brings nearly four decades of experience as a radio and television journalist to the microphone for six hours of the best talk radio in America. Six hours of daily prep keep The Lars Larson Show on top of the news and top-of-mind for listeners across the country.
Along the way, Lars has worked for more than a dozen radio stations and five television stations. Today, Lars holds down the fort from 12pm – 4pm on Radio Northwest flagship FM NEWS 101 KXL. His local talk show airs on seventeen stations in the Pacific Northwest (and earns him the biggest local talk radio audience in the region).

Will The American People Call B.O. On His B.S.?On the day after the Benghazi attacks, the President told the United States; he told 60 Minutes on CBS that it wasn't a terrorist attack. He even went out of his way to say it wasn't an act of terrorism. But now, because of a memo produced by Congressman Trey Gowdy in the hearings on Benghazi eight months later, we know that the State Department knew it was an act of terrorism. They knew it so well that, in the memo, it says that they called the President of Libya to tell him that it was an act of terrorism! So if the State Department knew... ...and the intelligence agencies knew... Then why was the President insisting that it wasn't an act of terrorism that took the life of those four Americans? I'm just waiting for one of the reporters with Presidential access to ask that question...

Christian Court Marshalls?Here's how our friend's at Breitbart have the story: The
Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted
for promoting their faith: "Religious proselytization is not permitted
within the Department of Defense...Court martials and non-judicial punishments
are decided on a case-by-case basis...”. The statement follows a Breitbart News report on Obama administration Pentagon appointees meeting with anti-Christian
extremist Mikey Weinstein to develop court-martial procedures to punish
Christians in the military who express or share their faith. (From our
earlier report: Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom
Foundation, and says Christians--including chaplains--sharing the gospel of
Jesus Christ in the military are guilty of “treason,” and of committing an act
of “spiritual rape” as serious a crime as “sexual assault.” He also asserted
that Christians sharing their faith in the military are “enemies of the
Constitution.”) A court martial conviction means that a soldier has committed a
crime under federal military law. Punishment can include imprisonment and
being dishonorably discharged from the military. So President Barack
Obama’s civilian appointees who lead the Pentagon are confirming that the
military will make it a crime--possibly resulting in imprisonment--for those in
uniform to share their faith. This would include chaplains—military officers
who are ordained clergymen of their faith whose duty since the founding of the
U.S. military under George Washington is to teach their faith and minister to
the spiritual needs of troops who come to them for counsel, instruction, or
comfort. This regulation would severely limit expressions of faith in the
military, even on a one-to-one basis between close friends. It could also
effectively abolish the position of chaplain in the military, as it would not
allow chaplains to say anything about their faith that others say led them to
think they were being encouraged to make faith part of their life. It’s
difficult to imagine how a member of the clergy could give spiritual counseling
without saying anything that might be perceived in that fashion. These regulations certainly didn't apply to Nidal Hassan, the Muslim who ran around preaching his Muslim faith before he ended up murdering some of his fellow soldiers at Fort Hood.

Do You Feel Like A Second Class Citizen?This is just WRONG. How will you feel when you head into the DMV to renew your driver's license and you're asked to present multiple forms of identification to prove your citizenship, while down the counter, some illegal who has been breaking the law can walk in and get a driving privilege card with little information, and nothing that proves they are legally in the country? It's just another example of how the citizens are being increasingly treated as second class citizens, while the government bends over backwards to provide illegals with things like tuition equity and welfare. Today, I had the chance to talk with Oregon State Representative Jason Conger about the vote. And while Rep. Conger voted no, he seemed to be more on the side of the people who voted yes... |
