KXL Radio has a rich heritage of providing local programming to meet the needs of the region’s 2.3 million listeners. Now in our 85th year of broadcasting, it is our mission to reach out locally. While we provide the best national shows available, no other station provides more local programming in Portland. On December 14, 2009 we began broadcasting three more hours of local news each weekday afternoon to match the needs of those driving home. And, now we are bringing more local emphasis than ever before with the addition of “Faceoff”, a point-counter-point commentary hosted by Lars Larson and Sheila Hamilton from our sister music station KINK FM. Sheila is heard mornings on KINK. Together, they will agree to disagree on most things and they will bring their points of view to the air each weekday afternoon at 4:52 and 6:52 PM. We hope you enjoy it as much as they seem to in preparing it each day.
