PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police say a 22-year-old man was critically injured in what appears to be a gang-related shooting Wednesday night in southeast Portland.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of what police described as potentially life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Sgt. Pete Simpson says police learned the victim was a passenger in a vehicle that was fired upon by someone in a black SUV. Witnesses say the SUV then raced off.
Police say two nearby apartments appear to have been damaged by gunfire.
