Driver Suffers Medical Emergency, Kills Woman

PORTLAND — A woman waiting for the bus was hit by a car and killed at Northeast 138th and Sandy on Thursday afternoon.

She’s been identified as 41-year-old Brenda Badon.  She lived in the neighborhood.

Police say the driver had a medical emergency that caused her vehicle to go off the road and crash into Badon at the the bus stop just after 3:00.  54-year-old Marlee Steele was taken to the hospital.  She was not cited.
