Students, parents and the Cleveland High School community told the Pottland School a District Wednesday night that their athletic field is not for sale.

The district’s plan was to outsource the fields in its high schools to private groups the raise money for new turf and new tracks.

The administrators failed to tell the principals and coaches who had already set schedules for the various teams that need the field for practices and games.

The protest turned into celebration once they learned that the school district said student schedules would be given a priority over the needs of private groups.
