Portland, Oregon – Beaverton High School senior Gigi Stoll competed in the Portland Classic at Columbia Edgewater Country Club over the weekend and drew a following of up to 100 people, including, family, friends and coaches.
The 17 year old won a spot in the LPGA tournament by winning an amateur qualifying tournament. She finished in a tie for 52nd place.
She starts her senior year at Beaverton High School on Wednesday and will play on both the girls golf and basketball teams. After that, she heads to the University of Arizona, where she will focus on golf and then hopes to join the LPGA tour.
Her best friend Dagny McConnell says Gigi “deserves to be out here; playing in this caliber.”
