KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Authorities have arrested a suspect in the shooting of a Klamath County sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop.
They’ve also arrested the man’s girlfriend on conspiracy charges and say they’re looking for others involved.
District Attorney Rob Patridge said Thursday the suspect is 30-year-old William Jack Parkerson, who was arrested in Chiloquin north of Klamath Falls. He faces charges of attempted aggravated murder and assault.
The woman is 33-year-old Karey Leigh Pascoe. They are to be arraigned Friday.
The deputy was identified Thursday as 40-year-old Jason Weber, a seven-year deputy.
He was shot Wednesday during a traffic stop and was expected to undergo surgery Thursday for a head wound.
Patridge says a Jeep that drove away from the shooting has been recovered north of Klamath Falls.
