Clark county voters don’t seem to care much for summertime elections. The same can be said for voters in most of Washington state’s 38 other counties.
Figures from the Secretary of State’s Office show Clark county had the 3rd lowest turnout (28.61%) in the August 5th primary election.
The county with the state’s lowest turnout was Snohomish. (25.59%) The county elections manager tells the Everett Herald it was like she threw a party and no one showed up.
Only three counties had voter turnout above 50%. (Ferry, Garfield and Jefferson)
