Barton, OR – Fire crews in Clackamas County responded to a fire near Highway 224 and Bakers Ferry Road Thursday afternoon after reports of a brush fire.
Witnesses tell investigators that they saw someone start the fire and then leave. When crews arrived, they found about an 1/8th of an acre of fire, including brush and grass. The fire also burned to the top of a nearby Douglas Fir tree. Firefighters were able to put the fire out in about an hour. No injuries occurred and no buildings were damaged.
The fire is the seventh brush fire in the area since July 15th.
