Portland, Ore. — Mom always says keep your hands to yourself. This toddler had to learn that the hard way.

A little boy lost his finger after getting it caught in an escalator at Washington square. The accident happened yesterday evening on an escalator near the food court.

“So our crews worked with Washington Square to disassemble part of the escalator. They were able to recover a finger and transport it over”, said Stephan Myers with Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue.

The boy was rushed to the hospital. We don’t know if the finger was able to be re-attached.
