SALEM – A vehicle struck a power pole on Lancaster Drive SE near Beck Avenue SE in Salem early Sunday morning.  The driver says he swerved for an object in the roadway and hit the pole.  Crashing into the pole caused power to be knocked out for around 2700 residents of southeast Marion County.  After a few hours, PGE repaired the pole and restored power for customers.  Durbin Avenue SE to la branch Street SE was closed for most of the morning.
