Portland, Ore. — The evening commute just got that much worse. A MAX train derailed this afternoon near Lloyd Center. A wheel set lifted off the track near 13th and Holladay.
“We are shuttling folks around the incident area with our shuttle buses that we already had in place for the construction work that is on-going”, Roberta Alstadt told KXL.
Its been quite a week for Trimet who is also dealing with a construction project near 11th and Holladay. Right now we don’t know what caused the derailment but Trimet is investigating. Riders should expect 30-45 minute delays through the evening commute.
