Longview,  Washington   Longview Police were called to a home on 26th avenue around 3 PM when they arrived they found a fourteen year old boy who had been shot in the face.  The teenager was rushed to St. John’s Hospital, awhile later he was Life- Flighted to Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland .  His condition is still unknown.  Two  boys were at the house together, they found a key for the gun safe.  The fifteen year old who lives at the house was putting the handgun away when it went off.

Parents of the boy told police their son was not supposed to have any friends over while they were gone.  Both were at work at the time of the accident.  They also told police they didn’t know their kids knew where the key to the gun safe was.
