TriMet Riders Become Angry Over Construction Delays Near the Lloyd District

Portland, Ore. — 40,000 TriMet Max line riders were confused and upset over  long delays  due to the change out of old switchers at 11th and Holladay Monday.  TriMet’s Blue, Green and Red MAX lines and the Line 70 bus will be disrupted through Friday, August 15 Riders should add an extra 30 minutes to their commute time.  60 minutes if their taking the Red Line train to the airport

SUMMARY  of Changes – For TriMet riders:
Red line trains
will not run from Lloyd Center to Gateway Transit Center. For red line trips to Portland City Center and Beaverton riders should get off at Gateway and transfer to Blue or Green line trains. Westbound MAX trains will not run between Lloyd Center/NE 11th Avenue and the Rose Quarter platforms. Eastbound trains will not run between the Oregon Convention Center and the Lloyd Center/NE 11th Avenue platforms. Shuttle buses will serve this small portion of the Blue, Green and Red lines. Green Line trains will not run in downtown.

SUMMARY – For drivers: NE 13th Ave and NE 11th Ave will be closed to through traffic. And the turn lane from I-84 turning NB on NE 13th will also be closed. Drivers will be directed straight on Lloyd Boulevard. Parking will be removed from 9th to 13th on NE Holladay.
