Portland, Oregon – A new era is about to begin for The Oregonian newspaper. It is moving this weekend from  its home of more than 60 years, 1320 SW Broadway. Monday morning, employees will report to the Crowne Plaza Building  at 1500 SW First.

Retired Sports Editor Jeff Wohler says it is ” an emotional day for a lot of people who spent time there over the last 60 years. You can make  the house a home and The Oregonian was home to a lot of people over the years.”

Oregonian Media Group President Christian Anderson says the new  space ” is very focused on collaborative spaces for the way we do our work now in a more digital age.” He says they just don’t need all the space they have in the building on SW Broadway.
