Apartment Fire Claims Life in Albany

ALBANY — One person didn’t make it out alive of a burning apartment on Wednesday morning.  Seven others were forced from their apartments.

The fire started just after 6:30 at Southeast 6th and Railroad Street.  Somebody saw it from Highway 99E and called 911.

Flames were pouring out of the top story of the building.  It caused about $300,000 in damage.
