If their plane was, in fact, hit by a surface to air missile, passengers aboard Malaysian Airlines flight-17 likely died suddenly.  That’s the  opinion of the former chair of the National Transportation Safety Board, Mark Rosenker.

Rosenker, currently CBS News Aviation Safety Analyst, tells Portland’s Morning News the rapid decompression would have, “put them out right away,” if the blast didn’t kill the passengers first.

Rosenker says it shouldn’t take long to pinpoint what brought-down the Boeing 777, as long as a neutral body of investigators is allowed to do their work.
