Making it Good in the Hood

Dozens of Northeast Portland teens and young adults take to an Albina/Killingsworth neighborhood intersection to create beauty and chase away the ugliness of violence.

More than 50 teens, working this summer through a Multnomah County Health Department program to prevent violence, will lead community members in painting a colorful, permanent street art installment.

After three community meetings they came up with a design by artist Antwoine Thomas and got the right permits.
