PORTLAND, OREGON Dean Hall has both Lymphoma and Leukemia. An avid swimmer since childhood, this courageous man decided to raise 25 thousand dollars to fight cancer by swimming the length of the Willamette River. By Monday of this week he had reached Hebb Park in West Linn. He started in Eugene almost three weeks ago. With only three percent body fat it’s easy for him to become hypothermic and get cramped muscles .
Yesterday he made it to Willamette Park. Today, he will swim into city center arriving at Tom McCall Waterfront Park at 7 P.M. he really believes that following one’s dreams is the best way to fight a brutal disease like cancer…or anything else that is preventing a healthy, happy and successful life.
Friday is a huge day for him. he will have completed his dream by finishing the last leg of his swim in the Willamette making it all the way over to the Columbia River. You can check on his progress and make a donation on Dean’s Facebook Blog “Swimming In Miracles”
