Bryant Fire East Of Klamath Falls Burns More Than 1,300 Acres

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. —  A wildfire burning 20 miles east of Klamath Falls has burned more 1,361 acres.  Crews dropped fire retardant and water on the fire over the weekend, using air tankers and helicopters.

The Bryant Fire is 45% contained and the cause is under investigation.  Close to 1,000 firefighters have been battling the fire.  Some of them are being demobilized today as the effort moves into the mop up stage.

The fire fight so far has cost more than $1.4 million dollars.  The fire is burning about seven miles away from the town of Bonanza.
