PORTLAND — A traffic stop on Wednesday morning ended in gunfire on Johnson Creek Boulevard where the driver was shot and killed near 36th Avenue.

Milwaukie Police tried to pull over a vehicle at 52nd and Harney.  The driver kept going and there was a short chase.  Two officers called for back-up from Portland.

Police say the suspect wasn’t cooperative.  Both officers fired at the man, hitting him at least once.  He was taken to the hospital, but didn’t survive.

None of the officers involved were wounded.
