Portland, Ore. — The three people that were shot included a 19-year-old from Portland. He died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Paul Lee grew up in Northwest Portland. He graduated from Westview High School in Beaverton just last year and was a freshman at Seattle Pacific University.  His Japanese teacher at Westview, Brian Bangerter said it was impossible to be around Paul and not feel happy. His laugh and smile were contagious. Something many of his former classmates agreed with.

“He was really funny. You know whenever one of his friends or close classmates were down he would always cheer them up. He’s a great guy.”

Today was the last day of the semester at Seattle Pacific. All classes were cancelled and a prayer service was held earlier this afternoon.
