PORTLAND – According to police, Khamidzhon Ayvazov, 27, was arrested on wednesday for flashing people along Northeast Marine Drive.
It was reported to police that he was allegedly pleasuring himself near NE Marine Drive and 158th Avenue. A witness decided to dial 911 immediately which lead to Ayvazov being arrested for public indecency.
After a spirited struggle, Ayvazov was taken into custody by officers just outside of his black BMW 750 sedan, police said. Ayvazov is suspected to have been behind a flashing incident last week. Bonnie Kahn reported the flasher that jumped out of the bushes on her bike ride near Marine Drive. She couldn’t help but confront the flasher.
“He looked at me with this really sinister smile and I thought, ‘That was weird,’” Kahn said last week. “The natural inclination is to ignore it and keep going, but if we do that in society then people will keep doing stuff like that.”
Ayvazov was charged with two counts each of indecent exposure and public indecency.
