Prison Fight Leads To Discipline In Pendleton

Written by Steve Leader on May 27, 2014

A fight broke out during dinner at the state prison in Pendleton, resulting in 46 inmates put in special cells for problem prisoners.

The Oregon Corrections Department is still looking into exactly what happened Monday evening at the medium security prison. They say the prison is currently operating in what’s called modified conditions.

One injured inmate had to leave the grounds for treatment, but returned today.

About seventeen hundred prisoners are at the Pendleton facility.
