Portland, Ore. — Portland Firefighters rescued a hiker who tumbled 50 feet down a steep hill in the West Hills.
The 60-year-old man slipped off Founder’s Trail Wednesday afternoon off of Cornell Road.
The hiker”s granddaughter called for help. Rescue crews set up a ROPE system to pull the victim to safety.

The man is recovering at OHSU and should be fine. Fire officials say Founder’s Trail is still safe for hiking.
