Vancouver, Wash. — A school bus driver in Vancouver may be in hot water after making the kids on her bus sweat it out the hottest day of the year.

The kids tell our news partner KGW it was a punishment for acting out last week. It was on the Number 200 bus headed to Silver Star Elementary in the Evergreen school district. Kids say the driver refused to let them open any windows on the bus. A bus that has no air conditioning. Needless to say parents are not happy.

“I still think charges should be filed, cause if I would have left my child in the car and gone in the store for 15 minutes with the windows rolled up I would be in jail right now.”

A school district spokeswoman says they are investigating and the driver who has been behind the wheel for 25 years, has been placed on leave.
