While the Governor has been ahead in the polls he’s fighting an uphill approval reelection battle on several fronts…. One the Cover Oregon Website debacle two and the collapse of the Columbia River Crossing Project. In an interview with Willamette week he says he’s running for a 4th term because he wants to continue to build off what he started in education public safety and job growth.
He understands completely that he will be judged at the polls on his failures as well as achievements. Kitzhaber gets the fact that Oregonians are not happy about tax dollars spent on failed cover Oregon technology and he’s willing to take the heat for that. he says overall his performance over the last three years is pretty good … we’ve been able to do some pretty remarkable things
KXL has reached out to the Governor a number of times for interviews we never hear back from his office.
