Portland, Oregon – It took 20 years to solve the murder of Brian Hill.  Today judge  Eric J. Bergstrom sentenced 38 year old Marvin Lee Lambert to 12 years in Prison with 3 years post prison supervision with no chance for early release.  Lambert pleaded Guilty to Manslaughter in the first degree in this case.

Back in 1994, Lambert and another man set out to rob Hill as he stepped outside his home.  Brian Hill was 26 years old when he was shot in the driveway of his home on 6435 North Gay Avenue .  He lived there with his girlfriend and two children. Hill survived in the hospital for a month before he passed away.  The cold Case unite of the Portland police Bureau has worked this case for 4 years .  Since it’s inception in 2004 it has reviewed approximately 250 homicide cases and solved 40.

Brian Hill’s Brother, Lamar told reporters.  ” I don’t really think justice was served. Twelve years for a hundred lives touched hurt destroyed changed redirected, it’s not really justice.”Brian_Hill
