Microsoft Explorer A Risk Right Now

“Until there’s a patch, don’t use it.”  That’s the advice from Thor Waage, chief engineer for Alpha Broadcasting.

According to Waage, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser has a security flaw that can allow a virus to enter a computer the moment a popup appears– even if the user doesn’t click on it.

With that, Waage says hackers can find passwords and user names.  He says he, “wouldn’t do any bank banking with Explorer.”

Waage says, hopefully, Microsoft will find a patch for Explorer.  He says even the newest versions of that browser are vulnerable.

The bottom line, according to Waage, be careful when you surf the web– no matter the browser.
