Beaverton sex sting

Beaverton, Oregon – A 17 year old Vancouver girl is in protective custody after a sex trafficking investigation in Beaverton. A husband and wife dropped her off at the Comfort Inn Tuesday afternoon for what they thought was sex with a paying customer. Police were waiting inside.

The couple sped off in their car, hit a police cruiser and two other cars, ran through a fence and wound up in a ditch . Westbound lanes of SW Farmington Road were closed between 170th and Kinnaman Road for a couple of hours during the investigation.

Police found 21 year old Davonte Donahue hiding in a child’s play house in someone’s back yard. He was taken into custody on charges of compelling prostitution. His wife, Torri was cited for promoting prostitution.

A  report released last summer by researchers at PSU found at least 469 children were involved in sex trafficking in the Portland area in the last four years. The US Attorney who commissioned the report believes the real number may be higher than that.
